A HUB OF COMMUNITY AND CHARITABLE DEDICATION

In Watford, you'll find a warm and welcoming atmosphere where people come together to make a difference.

Our vibrant charity sector is a testament to this, with countless organisations and volunteers working tirelessly to support those in need.

Watford & Three Rivers Trust has been at the heart of community activity since 1974 and has played a significant part in the development of local voluntary services.

Whether it’s through local initiatives or community events, the spirit of giving and togetherness is at the heart of Watford.

We’re also home to Watford FC, affectionately known as the "Original Family Club." With deep roots in the community, the club has long been a place where families come together to share their love of football.

SPIRIT, FAMILY-FRIENDLINESS, AND HAPPINESS

This strong sense of community and the town's abundance of family-friendly activities, award-winning parks and leisure facilities haven’t gone unnoticed.

In 2024, the UK Vitality Index recognised Watford as one of the top places to live and work in the country. Furthermore, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) has named Watford the happiest place in the East of England and Hertfordshire.

It’s no surprise—when you live in a place where community, family, and wellbeing are prioritised, happiness follows naturally.

We’re proud of what we’ve achieved, but we’re always striving to do more. Our commitment to enhancing the overall quality of life means we’re continually working to make Watford an even better place to call home. Join us in experiencing what makes Watford truly special.
